Précision_sur la representation :	Le tableau représente la décollation de saint Denis : le boureau lève l'épée au-dessus du saint agenouillé en prière ; les deux saint sayant subi le même supplice (saint Eleuthère et saint Rustique) sont déjà morts décapités à ses pieds, sur la colline Sainte Geneviève à Paris. Dans le ciel apparaît le Christ ou Dieu trônant ainsi qu'un ange qui lui offrent une couronne ; deux hommes assistent au martyre. Les deux statues représentent les deux saints Paul et Denis en pied.
