Historique :	Cet avion était destiné à l'armée pour la formation de ses pilotes. Seuls trois avions sont actuellement équipés d'un moteur rotatif fonctionnant à l'huile de ricin. Le Morane 138 est actuellement le seul de ce type connu dans le monde. Le constructeur Morane Saulnier était une société spécialisée dans la fabrication des aéroplanes à Puteaux. Fondée en 1911, elle fut l'une des firmes les plus prestigieuses de l'histoire de l'aviation. Le moteur de 80 CV provient de Gnome et Rhône. Cet avion vole lors de meetings aériens de l'association J.B. Salis chaque week-end de la Pentecôte.
